Nick Weitzel is a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Weitzel graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in economics, minoring in public policy. His research interests are primarily in applied microeconomics, more specifically labor economics, developmental economics, and environmental economics.

As a first-year associate, Weitzel has collaborated with several economists at the Richmond Fed. He has assisted Toan Phan on his research regarding the impact of sea level rise predictions on coastal property values.
