James F. Goodmon Jr.
James F. Goodmon Jr. is president and COO of Capitol Broadcasting Company Inc., headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. Goodmon has worked in a variety of roles and across a multitude of CBC business units. The company has evolved into a diversified holding company that expands across a multitude of businesses, including local media, commercial real estate, satellite communications and Minor League Baseball. He has operational responsibility for all CBC broadcasting divisions and also serves on the company’s executive committee.
Goodmon served as chairman of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce executive committee, as well as other boards including the Salvation Army of Wake County and the University of North Carolina’s Rex Leadership Council. He serves on the advisory boards for UNC’s Rex Leadership Council, Duke Raleigh Hospital and the Nature Conservancy, and is a former member of The National Salvation Army.
He is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and received an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
