Niranjan Mowli is senior vice president and head of FedCash Services Currency Technology & Support on behalf of Federal Reserve Financial Services. 

In this role, he leads Cash operations technology and support, as well as the Next Generation (NextGen) high-speed currency processing program, supporting the Cash processing operations of the Federal Reserve Banks in collaboration with the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and the U.S. Secret Service.

Prior to his appointment in April 2025, Mowli most recently served as group vice president in FedCash Services responsible for the NextGen program. He joined the Richmond Fed in 2010 and held leadership positions with the National Procurement Office and also information technology, where he was responsible for application development solutions for multiple business lines, including Treasury. 

Mowli earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and master’s degree in computer applications, both from the University of Madras in India.
