Scott Werry is a founding partner of Altas Partners, a North American private equity firm focused on acquiring significant interests in high-quality and market-leading businesses. The firm currently manages $10 billion of capital on behalf of investors. Werry has served on a number of portfolio company boards across a diverse range of industries. Prior to joining Altas, Werry worked at Providence Equity Partners in New York where he was focused on sourcing, evaluating and executing private equity investment opportunities across a variety of sectors. 

Prior to Providence Equity, Werry worked at McColl Partners, an investment banking firm founded by Hugh McColl, where he advised corporations and large family-owned businesses in merger, acquisition and financing transactions. Scott serves on the Global Leadership Council at the University of North Carolina. 

Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar and recipient of the Ernest L. Mackie Chancellor’s Award for character, scholarship and leadership and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
