Sam Erwin serves as executive vice president and director of Regional Banking for First Horizon Corporation, with ultimate responsibility for all commercial, retail and private banking within its footprint.

Prior to joining First Horizon in late 2016, he served as chairman, president and CEO of Palmetto Bank in Greenville, South Carolina. When Palmetto Bank was acquired by United Community Bank in 2015, Erwin served as a regional president with United Community Bank until joining IBERIABANK.

Erwin is a graduate of Clemson University. He is involved in a wide variety of civic and professional organizations, including serving on the boards for the Business Development Corporation of South Carolina and for Habitat for Humanity of Greenville. He is also on the board and vice chair of the Hollingsworth Funds. He is a Liberty Fellowship graduate, class of 2011.
